Knights boost their stocks with Brisbane centre
WOODEN-spoon favourites the Newcastle Knights have continued their rebuilding by signing Brisbane Bronco centre Tautau Moga on a three-year contract from next year.
The 23-year-old Moga has played 49 NRL matches after his 2012 debut with the Sydney Roosters. He also had stints with North Queensland and Brisbane.
Moga joins a steadily growing list of players to link with the Knights for next year, including teen sensation Kalyn Ponga from North Queensland and veteran Sydney Roosters back-rower Aidan Guerra.
Roosters centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall also joined the club mid-season.
Moga had failed to establish himself, mostly due to injury, before he joined Brisbane. But this year he hasn't missed a game.
He has 15 tries and will likely form a solid centre-pairing with Kenny-Dowall.
"Tautau is an athletic and exciting outside back and he will be a great addition to our squad," CEO Matt Gidley said.
"We continue to build our squad for next season and beyond and plan to have further announcements over the coming weeks."
