
Helicopter rescue for man crushed on farm
A MAN has been crushed by farming machinery at Kuttabul and will be flown to hospital for emergency treatment.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man had crush injuries to his chest, abdomen and legs after being "caught underneath a machine" at a private property, 40km west of Mackay.
She said the incident was reported at 2.30pm on Thursday and the man was in a stable condition.
An RACQ CQ Rescue spokeswoman said the man was working on the farming equipment when the incident occurred.
She said the rescue service arrived at the farm at 3.43pm to take him to hospital.
