Fans reel in wake of GoT spoilers
JUST hours ahead of the much-anticipated Game of Throne finale, fans are reeling from spoilers that may reveal its ending.
Rumours about the show's plot are nothing new, but a set of leaked text messages that first appeared on Reddit recently "got it right about last week's episode", according to Deadline.
It also shed light on what might be to come in the final episode, and some fans are taking it seriously.
The thread was widely copied and shared before it was deleted by moderators.
For those who want to know what the leaks said, user u/cgmcnama has compiled a summary of the potential spoilers for the final episode of the series on Reddit's r/FreeFolk forum.
But, fans will have to wait until today to see if the leaks got it right.
One thing we do know for sure is that there will be some serious fallout from Daenerys Targaryen's plot twist.
There was wide shock among fans when the show's heroine followed in the footsteps of her father and turned mad, burning thousands of innocent citizens alive before attacking the Red Keep.
After the penultimate episode aired last week, actress Emilia Clarke revealed she's had difficulty keeping her character's secret for two years.
"Every time someone would come up to me and say, 'I love her!' inside, I was thinking, 'Well you're not going to love her for long," she said at The National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Stop MS fundraising appeal in London on Thursday night (local time).
"It was so hard to keep it a secret. I would just nod and smile, and that's why I had this sort of furrowed-eyebrow expression a lot of the time. My eyebrows would sort of curl up."
With Cercei out of the picture and the favourite for the Iron Throne descending into into madness, the battle for who will take the Iron Throne is heating up.
Jon Snow and Sansa Stark are both seen as potential contenders by fans.
Leaks and fan speculation aside, it won't be long until the ultimate winner of the Game of Thrones is revealed.
