Flood in pictures

THE Wilsons and the Richmond rivers are slowly receding, but Lismore, Coraki, Woodburn, and Bungawalbyn remain in flood after a wild few days across the Northern Rivers.

As of 9.05am, the Wilsons River at Lismore was at 5.06m, well below its high on Saturday night of 8.12m, but still above the minor flood level of 4.2m.

The Richmond River of Coraki remains in minor flood but is also on its way down. It was at 4.92m at 9am after peaking at 5.54m a bit before 1pm.

The river at Woodburn was at 3.43m as of 9am, within its "minor flood" range, while flooding at Bungawalbyn was still officially classed as "moderate", with a level of 4.6m at 9am.

Marshalls Creek at Billinudgel and the Brunswick River at Mullumbimby are both up, but neither made it anywhere near their minor flood levels.

The rough weather has kept emergency services, Essential Energy staff, and the local councils all run off their feet.
